It's boring in Mt. Vernon during the summer.

I was sitting here on the internet this evening and I found this. The pentatonic scale rocks!! And it's science, which is just cool.

  1. I think it has something to do with the harmonic series? I remember something about it in this lecture I heard by Leonard Bernstein. You should definitely check it out, it's called The Unanswered Question (I have the DVDs). He kind of begins his discussion with an anthropological perspective--which you'd dig--and explains why everyone worldwide just straight up knows the Pentatonic Scale.

  2. I am frankly surprised it took you this long to get bored in Mount Vernon.

  3. Oh no, I've been bored. I think it is quite impossible not to have been bored at some point while here over the summer. I just got distracted before I clicked on firefox most of the time.

Andrew, that sounds amazing. I'll have to check it out.
